Project Overview
Carmyn is a mobile gasoline refueling service designed to eliminate the hassle of visiting gas stations by bringing fuel to grocery store parking lots or even directly to customers’ homes. As the Senior UX/UI Designer, my role was to create an intuitive and engaging user experience for a diverse audience while ensuring accessibility, safety, and environmental consciousness.
Objectives

• Simplify the refueling process for busy individuals.
• Enhance the user experience with a focus on time savings and convenience.
• Communicate environmental benefits effectively.
• Build trust through clear safety measures and certifications.
Challenges
• Designing a seamless experience for users unfamiliar with mobile refueling.
• Ensuring clear communication of service benefits.
• Highlighting Carmyn’s commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.

Research

Methodologies with Insights
User Interviews
• 80% of users cited convenience as the primary reason they would use a mobile refueling service.
• 70% of users expressed concerns about safety and reliability, wanting detailed information about the fuel source and certifications.
• Many users mentioned a desire for additional services, such as tire pressure checks or car washes, integrated into the offering.

Competitive Analysis
• Competitors lacked a seamless step-by-step process, creating confusion about how their services worked.
• Few competitors effectively highlighted environmental benefits, leaving a gap for CarmynZERO to stand out.
• High service fees among competitors provided an opportunity for Carmyn to position itself as an affordable alternative.
Persona Development
• Persona 1: Busy Parent - A working parent who values time-saving solutions during grocery runs.
• Persona 2: Eco-Conscious Millennial - A young professional willing to invest in services that reduce their carbon footprint.
• Persona 3: Safety-Seeking Senior - An elderly customer avoiding public spaces due to health concerns.
